This site was adequate for our 25 foot Leisure Travel Van and a tow vehicle. We needed leveling blocks in the front passenger side. The shaded picnic table is nice. You are 1 site over from the dump station but no one used it and that was no problem.

Hard to book but if you get lucky enough is worth it. It’s like a corner lot so the space you get is big. No shade as seen in pictures so come with a canopy.

This is one of the more cramped campgrounds of the NPS. If you plan to stay a bit cooler in the warmer months, or intend to hike the popular trails from Chisos basin this is a no brainer. But I would recommend ear plugs if youre a light sleeper. I could hear at least 4 distinct and not so distant snoring profiles (not including those eminating from our tent). Restroom facilities could use a bit of maintenance/cleaning but for the price we paid we cant complain much. Beautiful landscapes outshine any drawback in my opinion.

Beautiful spot. Come prepared with bigger and thicker stakes. Not a complaint but the floor was really hard so come prepare

Really loved the views at night where you can see so many constellations, the mountains surrounding us, restrooms were clean and everyone felt safe and respected in the area. Location-wise it was the closest to hiking trails.

Nice campsite, steps away from good hikes. This is especially important when the sun becomes dangerous.
