The campground is amazing. We enjoyed it. I wish they would make up there mind if they are closing it or not for renovations

Amazing campsite for 1-2 people. Very accessible but is a little small for more than a 3 person tent.

Gorgeous location/scenery, clean bathrooms and campsites. Loved it. Only negative is walking to the top of the campground to through away trash when there's so many recycling containers by the bathrooms! Great work at this campground though :)

Chisos Basin camp ground is a perfect central location for easy access to all of the trail heads, don’t miss the sunrise hike on Lost Mine Trail, started at 6:40 am for a 8:00am sunrise. Start early in the morning for The Window Trail, it heats up fast on the way out!! The camp ground is a bit cramped and is not ideal for Trailers or larger motor homes. Bathrooms are kept clean and cleaned throughout the day. Dish washing at the dish station, bring your own hot water, there needs to be signage to remind campers to clean out the drain screen after they are done, many did not and it attracted lots of bugs/ants. Visitors center staff and store are welcoming and friendly. Will definitely be back!

I loved the views! It was amazing. The reason why I rate it a 2 is that it was super cold and windy. Keep in mind that this was the 1st weekend of April, so I was surprised. Nonetheless, we had so much fun, and I'd camp there again!!!

Great campsite, clean, more shade options or hammock stand to enjoy stars at night would be nice.

Big Bend is a magnificent national park, and if you do only one hike, do the Lost Mine Trail. I would have to rate it in the top five hikes I have ever done, and has spectacular views the whole way. Another do not miss is the Santa Elena Canyon trail.

Always a good time here. The campsites and bathrooms are well maintained. Hopefully the sites that don't currently have covered picnic tables can get them soon
