Great campsite, clean, more shade options or hammock stand to enjoy stars at night would be nice.

The view made the entire stay worthwhile. The bathrooms were clean and serviceable. The spaces didn't offer much privacy from each other, but the others in the campground were friendly and respectful.

Always a good time here. The campsites and bathrooms are well maintained. Hopefully the sites that don't currently have covered picnic tables can get them soon

Big Bend is a magnificent national park, and if you do only one hike, do the Lost Mine Trail. I would have to rate it in the top five hikes I have ever done, and has spectacular views the whole way. Another do not miss is the Santa Elena Canyon trail.

Saw a roadrunner by our tent! The Window Trail starts at the campground, and is a great desert trail. Bathrooms were clean, water was convenient.

The camp site itself was good.
The camp host are not. After they cancelled our reservation on arrival date we had to scramble and get another site. Ended up in site 59 for only half the time of our original reservation.
The ground was fairly easy to get stakes into with hammers. not level, and some rocks, but nothing you can't overcome if you're used to tent camping.
Ants around the bear box but to be expected.
The later afternoon and early evening sun are brutal, make sure you bring something to create shade as the shade structures don't work from 3pm until dusk.
Bear boxes were much bigger than we anticipated, can easily fit 2 full size coolers in them with room to spare on top.
Bathrooms, water at the visitors center, and store are nice, in working order and kept well maintained and cleaned.

Nice facilities. Camp store does not know anything about camping.
