Loved this park . Our site was large and level
The picnic table was covered and separate from the actual RV site in addition to the car site being off to the side
Sad the lake level is down but this was a great spot

Lovely location! Campsites are nice and level. Nice walking areas. Town is nice too. The lake was very low when we visited.

Our campsite was very good, fairly level & some shade, good view of lake, well paved roads.
Ladies restroom needed a lot of cleaning. Sinks were always full of hair, toothpaste etc.,mirrors never cleaned, cobwebs everywhere. This was everyday we were there.

Wow …24 hour cancellation notice of my reservation due to contractor work. All guests in 60 sites were required to leave. Luckily I was able to get a spot in the open section of the park. This work was known by the lake staff for 3 months. No concern for the public and no accountability for these types of actions. Make sure to always have a backup plan when dealing with these parks. Parks are worth the aggravation as they are well laid out and very peaceful during the off season.

Not an ideal time for camping but a great time for no crowds!

Please be aware that you are not able to post a review on a cancelled reservation. Those that had to scrabble to replace a reservation can’t express their reviews here.

We were in Loop 2, site 52. The sites were huge and spaced far apart. It was cold so the lack of trees was not a problem. The problems we had dealt with were due to poor management. The bathroom was cleaned by an outside company. By day 5 the bathroom was finally looked at. By looked at, I mean stocked, not cleaned (toilet paper put on top of the dispensers). Day 6 the cleaners finally showed up to clean. Spent about 5 minutes in each bathroom. Day 7 we noticed an email in our account, good thing we had Starlink. We were being kicked out the next day, the refund was already in our account. There was no explanation. The park was no where near full, why didn’t personnel go around and make direct contact with everyone and explain? We talked with a volunteer and they were as confused as we were. Finally found out we were being kicked out because volunteers were coming in to rebuild the roofs over some of the picnic tables at sites. Our picnic shelter and the ones near us was already new. We were 2 days from our scheduled exit date and had to scramble to find a place to go. As we full time, home wasn’t an option. We’ve been in parks where there was major work being done and weren’t kicked out. In short, this park needs a new manager.

We absolutely enjoyed our stay at Potters Creek. The lake is beautiful and the grounds are well-kept. The sites are spacious with easy hookups. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. The showers, however, could use a good cleaning. Other than that, our stay was perfect.

Weather was cold and rainy so we only walked around campground. But it was a nice place to wait out the rain.

- No one is allowed in the park unless they have a reservation or are a guest of a reservation. Before entering the park all reservation holders and their guests MUST check in with a gate attendant. You can not check in /drive in after the gates are locked each night. Speak with the gate attendants when you arrive so they can answer any questions you have about coming in after normal gate hours. If you are traveling to check in and know you will not arrive until after gate closing, know that you will NOT be able to access the park until the next morning when the gates open again. You may always leave the park after the main gate is locked, but will not be allowed to re-enter with a vehicle after the gates are locked. You may walk into your site, but the vehicle must be parked outside of the gate on the side, out of the way until the gate opens in the morning. You may NOT drive through the locked gates or attempt to reenter the park with a vehicle after you have left and the gates are locked. If the gate is locked when you return to the park, you may walk to your site after hours if you have already checked in earlier with the gate attendants. Anyone attempting to drive into the locked park after hours is subject to a citation, potentially punctured tires, and to pay for any damages you do to the gate(s) that are locked.

- No feeding the wildlife in the park. Do NOT attempt to interact with the wild life. Some are protective of their territory, homes, dens, food and young. If you encroach on their space, they may become aggressive. To keep you safe, we ask that you do not feed, pet, handle, chase, harass, follow, hunt or attempt in any form or fashion to attract or interact directly with the wild life. You may observe them from a distance. If you find a fawn or other baby animal by itself, do not handle them. Mother animals often leave their young in a 'safe' place so they can go off and eat. The mothers will be back for their young, but if you touch it, the mother will often abandon the baby since the animal now smells like you. Contact the gate attendants, park host or park ranger for assistance in any situation similar to what is described above. We will usually tell you to leave the naimal alone. Nature has a way of "fixing" what we perceive as an issue, when usually it is not. Game wardens and Park rangers can investigate if there is a serious problem like a rabid or injured animal.
