We tied this path for the first time over NYE. Loop 2 was pretty quiet for the week. Our site was clean, very spacious, and the restroom was great.

Sites are large and spaced out from each other. The parking pads are long and will fit any size trailer/RV. We stayed in site 101 in 30' travel trailer and the site was level and long. Park is well maintained and clean. Restrooms were clean, and well stocked when we were there. You cannot check in until 3:00 and gates lock at 9:00 PM. This was not issue for us and we knew about the times before we arrive. Park is quiet, and has lots of roads to walk or bike. We enjoyed our time over New Year's Eve and will be back. If you go during the warmer months, it would be better to camp away from the lake so that you have trees to give you some shade. The sites along the lake do not have any trees. Yes, the lake it way down due to the drought, but this did not take away from the beauty of the Hill Country. We went into Canyon Lake to eat lunch one day at Wild Flour. Highly recommend this restaurant. Looking forward to our next trip at Potters Creek.

My family Been coming here for years and we always have a great time. The staff they had a few years back was unpleasant and rude but the newer staff are nice people.
Park is clean and They have covered bbq, fire rings and bbq pits and big covered tables and lots of big beautiful oak trees and a great hill country view from any spot.
Stargazing is nice too.
And Good swimming spots if you know where to go.
Hot showers and restrooms thru it the park.
Bonfires are nice when there’s not a burn ban. Big spaces to play frisbee and other sports and we love taking bikes and electric scooters for more fun.
If definitely recommend Potters Creek !

We really enjoy this campground. It’s less than an hour away from our home. If there is anyway to get the lake back to normal water level it would make it a lot better. Canyon Lake is at least 25-30 feet low on water. Unfortunately it may never be back to it’s normal level.

Always enjoy my days spent at PC. I have one thing that I have seen that needs changing. Believe me many feel the same way. We stay in space 82 many times and see the same thing happen almost every time. The posts in the ground on the turn need to be removed. I have seen 3 different crashes hitting the posts. I do not see the purpose for these. Please do something about this. One of my buddies hit one a few days ago and had to replace his whole bumper.

I camped in a site that had trees and a view of the lake. It was spacious, well kept and shady. Bathrooms were clean and tended daily.
Many of the sites were exposed, with no shade and little privacy. I would not have felt as happy in one of them. Staff mistakenly assigned me to a site already reserved by someone else. Luckily the campground wasn’t full and staff was very helpful in resolving the issue.

Lake was pretty well down below useful level. The Osprey seemed to be feeding well. Site were a little close, but everything functioned. The bathroom was pretty dirty. Looked liked they may have swept it but never really cleaned it. The shower floor is like a funnel, very sloped towards the drain. It had a lot of hair in it and there were a lot of spider webs and bugs around the walls. The soap scum on the floor had obviously been there quite a long time.

- No one is allowed in the park unless they have a reservation or are a guest of a reservation. Before entering the park all reservation holders and their guests MUST check in with a gate attendant. You can not check in /drive in after the gates are locked each night. Speak with the gate attendants when you arrive so they can answer any questions you have about coming in after normal gate hours. If you are traveling to check in and know you will not arrive until after gate closing, know that you will NOT be able to access the park until the next morning when the gates open again. You may always leave the park after the main gate is locked, but will not be allowed to re-enter with a vehicle after the gates are locked. You may walk into your site, but the vehicle must be parked outside of the gate on the side, out of the way until the gate opens in the morning. You may NOT drive through the locked gates or attempt to reenter the park with a vehicle after you have left and the gates are locked. If the gate is locked when you return to the park, you may walk to your site after hours if you have already checked in earlier with the gate attendants. - No feeding the wildlife in the park. Do NOT attempt to interact with the wild life. Some are protective of their territory, homes, dens, food and young. If you encroach on their space, they may become aggressive. To keep you safe, we ask that you do not feed, pet, handle, chase, harass, follow, hunt or attempt in any form or fashion to attract or interact directly with the wild life. You may observe them from a distance. If you find a fawn or other baby animal by itself, do not handle them. Mother animals often leave their young in a 'safe' place so they can go off and eat. The mothers will be back for their young, but if you touch it, the mother will often abandon the baby since the animal now smells like you. Contact the gate attendants, park host or park ranger for assistance in any situation similar to what is described above. We will usually tell you to leave the naimal alone. Nature has a way of "fixing" what we perceive as an issue, when usually it is not. Game wardens and Park rangers can investigate if there is a serious problem like a rabid or injured animal.
