We were very impressed with the Staff monitoring the security and wellness. The trails and RV spots were very clean and maintained. This is now one of our favorite spots to go!

We love this park. In my mind, it is the Park Hosts that make it what it is. Friendly and accommodating. They seem to live to support the park and it's guests. Great place to get away from the madness of COVID and isolate in the woods. We will be back.

The place is beautiful and so close to Houston. The facilities are great. Mobile phone connectivity was not bad. The only negative thing was that restrooms were not as clean as other camping sites we experienced in Texas. Otherwise I would rate the place as excellent.

Campground is very well maintained with everything working well. Clean and very nice. Bathroom very clean. Good verizon coverage as well.
Only issue was lots of shouting and yelling in the middle of the night from other campers. Very scary - to the point of probably not returning to this site given the types of people it is attracting. Sorry to say.

Double lake is a serene place with many things to see and do. Quiet and peaceful is the best way to describe the atmosphere. The trees are a nice break from the city and the grounds are only ~ 40 minutes from downtown Houston. Would recommend if you are seeking silence/serenity to go on weeknights to avoid families with small children etc, sound carries very well at the site. Bathrooms/showers are located very close to tent sites. A beautiful place, we intend to return frequently to escape.

The facilities were well cared for. The host and park manager were very helpful and friendly. We have been camping there for 22 years now. As always very quiet and peaceful.
