Enjoyed the stay very much, Copperas creek park is beautiful, my favorite place is lots 1-16 and my favorite site is 8. It is not located right on the water but is not a bad walk and it is shaded pretty much all day long if the weather is hot. Lots 1-16 are mostly are all shaded at least part of the day. Proctor lake is nice and quiet mostly. The gate attendants were very friendly and courteous. We have stayed at the other parks on Lake Proctor and they are all nice, but Copperas is closer to town and work if we are working while camping. There is a small local store located right outside the gate that has food, some groceries, fishing tackle/licenses/bait , gas, and ice, most anything you might need while camping. Overall it a great place to relax and kick back and enjoy life.

The park is well kept and clean. We reserved site 37, but the tree was hanging over the site we could not get our fifth wheel under it. I would like to suggest to trim the trees just a little bit so big fifth wheels can enjoy the full effect of a campsite.
