I called 2 weeks before I reserved the group Picnic area. My family was coming together to celebrate my dad's life. He passed away in September. I asked when's the latest I could cancel and get a refund. I was told as long as I canceled before midnight on the 6th of November, I could expect a refund. I reserved GP1on Nov 6. Around 9pm on the 6th, I was informed a couple of family members tested positive for covid, I canceled but was informed that I would not be getting a refund, with everything going on I just don't have money to throw away. I love coming to Highview, infact I don't camp anywhere else. But I'm not sure I'll be back. I felt it was wrong for not getting a refund.

We had lot 9 and it was a very good spot and we really liked it very much. The grass was cut and it
was very nice.

From Ennis, Texas: From Interstate 45, exit onto U.S. Highway 287 Bypass (Exit #247). Travel 4.5 miles and exit at the Bardwell Lake exit sign. Turn left onto Highway 34 and go 2.5 miles southwest. After crossing the Bardwell Lake bridge, take the first left onto High View Park Road. Travel 0.2-mile to the High View Park entrance station.
High View is accessible via Interstate 45 and U.S. Highway 287 Bypass, with the U.S. Highway 287 Bypass exit located approximately 4.5 miles from the campground.

Policies & Rules
Cancellation policy
- Reservation fees are non-refundable. For campsites, cabins, lookouts, yurts, group sites, and similar stays, we charge a reservation service fee of $8.
- Standard cancellations usually have a $10 cancellation fee. Customers can generally cancel before the check-in date online.
- Late cancellation rules differ by stay type.
- Individual campsites: cancelling after 12:00am local time the day before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- Cabins, lookouts, and yurts: cancelling less than 14 days before arrival usually means a $10 cancellation fee plus forfeiting the first night's fee.
- One-night reservations: a late cancellation usually forfeits the full amount paid, up to the total original reservation cost.
- Modifications are allowed before the cut-off window, but fees depend on the change. Changing to dates completely outside the original reservation dates may trigger a $10 change fee. Extending or shortening a stay that still includes original dates usually has no change fee, though refunds may depend on timing and facility rules. Switching to the same type of campsite for the same dates usually has no change fee, but price differences are charged or refunded.
- Early departures may or may not be refunded. At certain facilities, partial refunds may be possible if staff can mark the site available for other visitors. No refund is given for a night if the early departure is requested after that day's check-out time.
- Security deposits are separate. Security deposits may be refunded to the original payment method if the facility is left in acceptable condition, as determined by the property.
