Area was nice and easy to get to. Facilities are in need of serious updating. The campground had a power outage after hours and couldn't find anyone to contact inorder to find out what was going on.

We were booked at site 44 & due to the trees in the way our slides would not open . we were moved to site 31. I really appreciate the help we received. We have more trips booked out there this summer.

Always well maintained, clean and polite staff. We frequent this park and our favorite spot is site 54 (Holiday, Texas in Benbrook. However, that site is no longer bookable online. It is “X” ‘d out for as far as you search. This is one of the nicer sites in the park and we have been advised that it is now used for OVERFLOW. Please reconsider this decision and make another site that is a bit less desirable designated as overflow. We look forward to our next trip there and hopefully can book site 54. Thank you for listening

I had a an amazing location at the Holiday campsite. I had an unobstructed view of the lake, I had water and power hookups, a fire ring and I had a covered picnic table. There were a number of trees at my campsite that provided cover/shade as well. At dusk a herd of deer grazed through the site and walked down to the lake. It was awesome seeing nature up close! I even experienced a rain shower which was a welcomed event due to the drought and no fire conditions in the county at the time of my visit. Would enjoy coming back!

the bathrooms were very buggy. one restroom had continuous water leak across the floor. no mirror in bathroom. no notice to bring your own soap. i thought it was scary that the cabinettes had shutters on the outside that could be lifted open, like window peeking by anyone walking by. should be on inside. there is something wrong with that! there is something seriously wrong with the dump station ... beware ...on a slant and does not fully empty the tank. some people did not have their dogs on a leash while was there over easter.
it is a good , clean park overall . i will go back. i recommend .

The toilets & shower areas could use a remodel. They were clean, but old & ran down. Also a park rangers presence more often would be nice, especially on weekends when the place fills up with campers. Kids were speeding all over the place on motor scooters. Not to safe!
Otherwise it was a nice campground!
