What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

An amazing experience. Our first site #85, was not level at all, but had a gorgeous view of the lake. We are in a 37' motorcoach with a toad. We must have been close to an Eastern Bluebird's nest because they kept bombarding our car. They are beautiful birds, but boy can they make a mess of a car! Once we moved to a more level site (#90) 5 sites down, they didn't bother us anymore, but no beautiful view from there. #91 is very level and long. The people managing the camp were all super sweet. There is only electric and water at these sites with a pump out station around the bend. Not all sites have hook ups. We saw roadrunners, deer, herons, egrets, and vultures. It's half an hour drive into Ft Worth. The Stockyards are well worth the drive. An hour away is the marvelous Creation Science Museum in Dallas and, of course, Ripleys Believe It or Not.

My Thoughts ....
1st Time in Texas & their Cor. of Engineers Parks .
When we arrived was "Pleasantly Surprised" to find Entrance...l staffed!
Especially in winter & needing help with a problem.
We were grateful for the help received by the Engineering Staffer that Day....who went ...."Above And Beyond" for Us!
Thank you!
Thanks again....for Your Parks!

The outside of park bikers are somewhat an annoyance. Could be 50 or 75 on the weekends or holidays passing through the park.

Tent site 80 was nice on the water but nearby men’s restroom was locked and by the looks of how much trash was inside of it, it has probably been locked for quite some time now.

GET YOUR GATE CODE WORKING! Ridiculous to ask campers to have to park outside the gate after 10:00 p.m.. then have to walk past the gate and to their campsite.

Love staying at this park! The gate keepers are very nice, and the park manager, Mr. Florez was very nice to help me with a reservation mistake I made.

My wife and I love this campsite. It’s not too far from home but feels like you’re out in the middle of nowhere. Staff is very friendly. Campsites are clean and well maintained. Deer are walking around everywhere. Have brought grandkids out and they love to fish here. Perfect place to build memories

I was here for 2 weeks in August/September 2024. Loved the campground. Campsites were large compared to most I've seen, and the deer and wild turkeys would roam so close to my site. Showers were clean and well-maintained. I love the large private-room style bathroom/shower set-up. A few problems over Labor Day weekend with the power shutting off due to overload, and on Monday the water had a strong bleach taste to it. I asked about it at the guard shack and the lady was less than friendly and not at all helpful, said "I used it to make my coffee this morning and it was fine." Biggest problem was the ants. There was nowhere my dogs could go to the bathroom and not get their feet instantly covered in ants. I get it's camping but we've never had this problem at any other campground. Unlikely I'll be back for that reason alone.
