Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

The campground is beautiful with great sites. Unfortunately, the ground keeping was non existent. The grass had not been cut for a long time. Walking in the grass covered my feet to the point where I could not see your shoes. The area where the work campers stayed was well groomed though. I noticed that another camper had took out a weed eater from his rig to cut the grass around him so that his kids could play. Grass this high in East Texas can be dangerous as we do have rattlesnakes out here. Not to mention fleas and ticks.

We love camping here. Very laid back and quiet. The raccoons scared us a time or two.

The campground overall is very nice. The guy who checks people in is a bit of a hawk about passes. I've stayed here several times over the past few weeks and he checks my pass every time. I've never had any other campsite even ask for it. But overall he's nice. The other thing that is a bit of an eyesore is the area reserved for the, apparently, MANY campground hosts this place has. It is a bit of a mess. It kind of looks like a homeless encampment. Old school bus, crap strewn everywhere. It really should be cleaned up. But overall the campground is nice. The new bathroom/showers are very nice- only the one building is new though.

This is the best tent campsite in the place IF you don’t want any neighbors. It has its own driveway and cul de sac, and big-time bonus, its own water spigot. I will always book this site when I’m coming here if it’s available.

Always love this park. Close to home so can go out for short trips. #44 was a new spot for us but we thought it was good. Pull through, view of the lake, close to fishing pier, covered picnic table, large lawn beside spot. At the check-in gate they said the space was short but we fit our 20' camper, pick-up tow vehicle, and our regular car, and would have had room for another.
