Park was clean and the staff were very helpful. Plenty of deer to watch in the evenings and early mornings. Bathroom facilities were clean and not outdated.

Lower campground is fantastic. Upper campground is in need of work; bathrooms are terrible and there is no water at campsites, even though the pipes are there they have all been capped. Would like to see water at these campsites.

We’ve noticed the grass isn’t being mowed and maintained quite like it has been in years past, which is a bit disappointing. There were quite a few stickers (grass burs), which makes walking pets a bit of a nuisance. Also, the dock is in serious need of new boards. My 83-year-old father, who shuffles when he walks, nearly fell, so it’s becoming a safety concern that needs attention.
That said, we still love coming out here and the new attendants are very nice. One of the highlights of the park is seeing the bald eagle (used to see two) soaring overhead and heading to its roost across the lake—such a beautiful reminder of God's love and our freedom.

The park host were friendly and helpful. We love to camp there. We had tent site 100 I believe. The only issue we experienced was on of the park restrooms that was near the boat ramp in that area. It needs to be torn down or repaired. Not sure about the men's side but the women's side of the building showed severe lack of servicing. No doors, the stall enclosures were not attached to the bottom hardware, as it had severe rusting and no anchor, holes in the walls near the bottom of the structure. With the entry door open to the road and no stalls doors, squatting is awkward and very uncomfortable, knowing anyone can walk in there at anytime and you are in full view... behind a tree would be a better option. This was our only complaint so I hope that the Park Rangers can do some repair on this building.
