What Guests Are Saying
Holiday, Texas offers a well-maintained campground with spacious sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great choice for nature lovers. Many visitors appreciate the friendly staff and the abundance of wildlife, including deer and turkeys. While some facilities, like the bathrooms, could use updates and there are occasional maintenance issues, overall, guests enjoy their stays and often return for the peaceful atmosphere and convenient location near Fort Worth.

Big restroom was outta toilet paper and 1 of the only 3 toilets was backed up for days. There was no soap in the restroom either, bad hygiene habits and that was just the few days I was there…
Paying to be somewhere and not being equipped with necessities is just crazy to me

Love the campground. Only issue, my site was so un-level my motorhome’s front wheels were six inches off the ground.
It was the perfect location for the April 2024 eclipse!

New restrooms stopped working, very nasty
Rain interrupted our camping plans
Attending a family reunion, had reserved all the shelters and the gate guard continuously enforced the 2 car per space limit. We were not on the grass or blocking roads but parking 3 cars in driveway due to crowd and bad weather. I know the rule is 2 but there is a time to bend the rules.

Everything was great until 11PM. That’s when site 95 decided to turn up their music. It was loud, very loud and it lasted well into the morning; past 2AM. If this didn’t occur, I’d give it 5 stars.

campsites are usually very clean. Park is very well kept. Front gate people are VERY friendly. Last trip I was checked in by an actual employee and not a volunteer who was able to answer questions I had and advised me of some camp sites that would meet my needs. I can wait for my next trip to Benbrook. BTW, I know a volunteer is just that... a volunteer and was not disappointed in anyway.
