What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Breaks Park offers beautiful views of Lake Georgetown, level RV sites, and clean, quiet surroundings, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the hiking trails and amenities like personal BBQs and pavilions at each site. However, some concerns were raised about the maintenance of facilities, accessibility for larger RVs, and staff availability during check-in and check-out.

Always a good park. Many of the blacktop pads have crumbling edges that make for dangerous drop offs. We were camping but noticed many of the day use canopies were missing a lot of shingles.

Site #41 is excessively unlevel. Impossible to get your rig fully level.

Nice to see the park being cleaned up and better maintained than the past few years.

CBP is one of my favorite campgrounds in Texas. Great hike trail and picnic area and a huge 4 lane boat ramp. It sits on a cliff overlooking the lake and the picnic area is a giant loop with lake views all over. Perfect place to relax and enjoy nature.

A great ACE campground. Over 60 sites, mostly with >50% shade. Good spacing. All sites include covered, cement patio, picnic table, fire ring. Most sites are +/- 1inch side to side, if you have a rig more than 25ft many sites along lake will have 3-6inch front to back (lakeside) or back to front slope opposite lakeside. IMHO, odd sites 1-10 are best for levelness. Sits on Lake Georgetown for fishing, boating, hiking.
Campground is <4 miles to Georgetown shopping, restaurants, shops, services, etc. Decent cell signal, even occasional 5G. You can't beat the $15/night rate with America the Beautiful pass ($30 full price). The absolute ONLY NEGATIVE are the bathhouses. They are in DIRE need of upgrading. It doesn't look like they have been updated in at least 20 years. Aside from that, wonderful campground.

What a shame that such a nice park would be overshadowed by poor administration issues!
The main issue was their 10:00 PM curfew. We are not children and we don't need to be treated as such. We were locked out of our site twice because we were unable to make their curfew and had to find somewhere else to stay.
I don't understand why they prefer to leave the campground mostly empty rather then allowing people to pay to extend their stays beyond the 14 day maximum.
No recycling containers are used, I expect better from our federal government!

This is my goto park, when I bring my RV in for repairs at PrincessCraft RV, in Round Rock TX. I always go for a hike to Crockett Garden Falls (the trail isn't marked very well). The campground has good facilities (electric, shower, dump station). Everything was clean and functional (the national parks could learn a lot from this place). The camp host was friendly.
