We have always had a great experience at the park, but this trip was tainted by a group with barking dogs. They appeared to be in an enclosed area. They barked it seemed like constantly. But when they did stop we all would say "listen. What do you hear?"
The view of the eclipse was perfect from the park.

Park mostly run by volunteers, who were great. Men's bathroom was pretty sloppy. Campsites hadn't been cleaned in awhile, as there were eggshells from perhaps an Easter party all over #5 and in Day Use. Day Use was actually much more pleasant than the campground; we wished we could have camped there, instead of the formal campground

Cedar Breaks is a wonderful park on beautiful Lake Georgetown. We love the location and the campsites are pretty nice for the most part. That being said, the bathrooms are a disgrace and are the reason for my 1 star rating. Whoever cleans them does not do a thorough job and they have been neglected too long. They need to be gutted and upgraded. Some of the plumbing does not work and the men's room smells horrible. It appears the camp hosts there do not inspect anything very closely. I hope by the time we return later this year we can see great improvements and write a complimentary review about the bathrooms.

Not a fancy place but sites are big and clean. RV pads are paved but not level. You will need leveler blocks. Covered table. Grill. Fire pit with grill/grate. Bathroom was clean. Water was hot. Staff were helpful and friendly. Lake was close by but not easy to get to. Be prepared to walk. Overall, pretty good camping.

General
- Camping by reservation only. Reservations must be made online through Recreation.gov or by calling 1-877-444-6777.
- Gate house hours of operation are Friday through Sunday 10:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. Hours may vary during Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor Day.
- Park entrance gates close at 10:00 p.m. An emergency exit is provided.
- Maximum 14 day stay limit enforced. No extensions permitted.
- The number of personal vehicles per site is two. Additional vehicles are required to park in the overflow parking lot with the purchase of Daily Activity Pass and Additional Vehicle Pass provided by the Park Host at the gatehouse. Camping unit(s) on campsite may include only one RV, one tent, and/or two tents.
- Day Use Areas close at sunset.
- Don't Move Firewood: Protect your forests from tree-killing pests by buying your firewood locally and burning it on-site. Visit Dontmovefirewood.org for further information.
- Do not feed the wildlife
