What Guests Are Saying
Cedar Breaks Park offers beautiful views of Lake Georgetown, level RV sites, and clean, quiet surroundings, making it a great choice for campers. Many visitors appreciate the hiking trails and amenities like personal BBQs and pavilions at each site. However, some concerns were raised about the maintenance of facilities, accessibility for larger RVs, and staff availability during check-in and check-out.

my stay at cedar breaks was one for the books on how bad a park can be. I am an 82 year veteran and disabled
I try to reserve a spot close to a bathroom due to difficulties encountered fill, lifting and disposing of black and gray water. Three days before christmas the bathroom near site # 12 overflowed from sewage personnel came
looked decided their was a blockage, locked the doors and had not returned when I departed a day early Jan 3,
2023 . I have pictures of the trash containers that had overflowed since christmas day. I talked to senior staff about the bathroom situation on Jan. 2nd and was told the repairs had to be done after repair bids were received this could take weeks. I also brought up the possibilit of creating a Handicap site which could be done
next to a site used for site employees, but was told it would cost to much. With a campgound full at christmas and New Years why isn't the corp. of eng required to have Handycapped sites available under federal american Disabilities Act.
The temperature dropped to -4 deg. the camp ground water pipes froze no one (not one employee offered to help thaw out their pipes in order to have water to flush my toilet because the campground facility was locked an I was told to go to the next toilet which was quite a distance from my motorhome and me having difficulty walking any distance. What a load of crap. I have used corp. of Eng. sites all over the US but this and the Attitude of the site workers suck. At this time I would not repeat( WOULD NOT RECOMEND) this park to a junk yard dog.. I have used this park many times but this time it put a very bad taste in feeling about this capgroung

Wonderful park with spacious campsites that include covered picnic tables. Located within minutes of conveniences. Quiet park with good trails for hiking. Will definitely visit again when in the area.

This is the best COE park I’ve been to, the sites are super and the staff is great, the only negative has been the overflowing trash dumpsters no room for more trash. We been there 3 times and it’s been an issue each time.

First time for my husband and I but our 2 daughters have been there a few times..The ongoing problem that we've all experienced with Army Corps of Engineers are the restrooms...On this trip 12-26-2022 for 1 week, 1 toilet stall out of 2 was grossly plugged up and out of order. I personally told 2 of the park host and also asked if they would post a "out of order" or tape off with a yellow Caution ribbon but that deterrent just went thru deaf ears.
Also our site #40 had a huge crack off the corner of the trailer pad that led down to the picnic table area, a highly used path ...definitely an accident waiting to happen. We had 6 children between our 3 campsites and 2 elders so that made me nervous. It was evident that that area and several other areas had been recently filled with base material/gravel and had been washed away from a recent rain yet the management obviously didn't do any walk-thrus...I ended up filling the huge gap with the base material that collected from the water runoff early on when we first got their because the only park person I saw at that time was dealing with a water pipe break somewhere...On a positive note, the park hosts where much more polite then we've experience at another park in the past. We will possibly go back when the lake level is higher. I noticed a lot of the trailer pads are unlevel... The day use area looks really nice..Only wish the water wasn't soo low. My husband did catch 2 fish. I took several pictures of my 2 complaints. I just hope I can post them if there is an option to do so..

Most of the experience was good but, we were in the same site last year and there were low areas around the pavement. This year fine gravel was added around the pavement. Bad choice of gravel, it got into everything.

Beautiful park. Not supplying the after hours code via email or some other communication isn’t helpful. There wasn’t an attendant during the day for us to get it and the gates weren’t consistently closed after 10. Communication could be better. Also there was no running water.
