Each time we’ve stayed at Jim Hogg, it’s been an excellent experience. The hosts are always friendly, helpful, and available. The campers this time were very quiet especially it being New Years Eve and day…no fireworks or kids running around making mischief.
It was truly a wonderful experience once again.

One of our favorite parks! Just wished they had full hookups. But if they had, it probably would be impossible to get a site. :)

I have been visiting Jim Hogg park on Georgetown Lake for years and have never been greeted by such hostility by the "hosts". After a 33hour, 1200 mile drive, I arrived three hours before check in time. I was acausted by the "hosts" and told that I had to leave the park until check in time, 3pm and if I did not leave the park they would call the police. I am a harmless 68 year old. I just wanted to park in the "overflow parking" lot and get some rest until I could move into my reserved space at 3pm. After this harrasment, I drove to the gate to explain my situation and that I had a two week reservation that began in three hours. The "greeter" at the gate radioed the "host" and said "did you tell a person in a Shasta to leave the park?, he isn't leaving and told the "host" to go ahead and call the police". Call the police on a visitor with a paid reservation because he arrived three hours early? This is rediculous and I will not be returning to Jim Hogg park as long as these "hosts" are volunteering there.

My wife and I loved this park. It’s in a great location. Easy in easy out. We had a nice spot to camp at. I’m in a wheelchair and I was able to get around with no problem. Definitely coming back.

A very nice park right on the water. Feels like you are out in nature but it's only a short trip to the store for forgotten items!
