Many visitors appreciated the wildlife and the overall tranquility of the park, especially for family trips. We stayed at this campground in site #20 for a week. We had FHUs with 30 AMP. First the sewer connection was higher than my RV connection. I had to go to other sites to find pavers and rocks to prop up the sewer hose, which didn't work. The grass was very high. I walked down to the boat ramp and there was a grill near by that was full of garbage and raw meat that was rotten. There also seemed to be a lot of trash around the park. It seems that this park is very neglected. Stayed at Taylor park before and it was nice. When I went to leave and dump my tanks there seemed to be something wrong with the sewer. It seemed that the vent was blocked. We will not be staying at this park again nor would I recommend it.

Likes: Lots of trees, RV sites clean, close to lake and boat ramp.
Dislikes: Restrooms were dirty and showers did not work the first few days we were there, electricity amps were not the standard 50 they were 30 which did not allow you to run everything you needed at the same time.

I wish I could say that we loved our time here, but we didn’t. We booked site 12 so we could be next to our friends but when we arrived and plugged in, our camper kept shorting out. My husband checked the electric pole with his meter and found out that there wasn’t enough voltage to power our camper. He saw that the previous gusts had burnt the lines. We let the camp hosts know and fortunately they had their “backup spot” at site 14 available so we were able to move there. It hadnt been mowed in days so we had to use the space with grass up to our chins.
The bathrooms were absolutely disgusting. Dirty, no soap, smelled awful and trash all over the place.
Site 14 isn’t a full hook up spot so we needed to dump our gray water and black tank at the end of our stay........only to find out that the dump station was completely full. We couldn’t dump. Thankfully there was an empty spot at one of the full hook up spots so we turned around and dumped there.
The park itself is clean and quiet and the others staying there while we were there were friendly as were the park hosts, however it was less than desirable and we won’t be back, unfortunately.

Willis Creek bathrooms were by far the best maintain bathrooms out of all the parks in this area everything in them was operational and functional they even have air-conditioning in the bathrooms. The whole site was clean and well-maintained boat ramps or an excellent condition

We would have given five star except for the fact that we spent four days wading through knee deep grass and weeds at our campsite. Couldn't even get down to the lake for the waist high grass and weeds. The mowers came out twice while we were there and never mowed our campsite till the day we left.

Worst spot ever. I cannot believe they charge money to stay there. The nearby water is murky and looks like a huge breeding ground for mosquitoes, the campsite is overran by so many flies you can’t even relax let alone sleep. We bailed after just a few hours, no refunds of course! SAVE YOUR MONEY, do not book here. Bathrooms are disgusting, someone’s pocketing that money because it’s definitely not going to the park.

The grass was not cut and was knee high. Making the bugs and mosquitos so terrible, we were hidding in the rv the whole time. My husband went home to get the mower to cut some of the grass near the campsite because it was so high all around it but that didnt help. We couldnt enjoy the lake area at all out of fear of snakes and bugs because the grass was taller than me closer to the water. We left after one night even though we paid for three. It was the worse experience I have had camping.
