Hickory Creek Road is a wonderful RV Park. I live in the DFW area and try to spend 5 or 6 days a month at HC to keep my rv running well. The sites have plenty of room and relative privacy. There are dozens of lake views and plenty of shade. AND if you’re over 62 (I’m 70) and have an “Interagency” pass, you can stay for half-price. There are parks not nearly this nice that run $60 or more per night. Yes those parks have sewer at each site but HC is still a bargain…and a gem. And the guard house staff are helpful and friendly, with a special shout-out to Debbie. Will H

Nice park that is close to the metroplex, it the COE has let it run down. The bathrooms that I went to had 2 of the 3 toilets marked out of order and the only one that was open the latch was broke on the door not allowing you to close the door.

We have stayed at a different site in each of our 4 visits to Hickory Creek. Each one has been unique in its own way and very enjoyable. What a beautiful park and so close for everyone in the Metroplex!!

This is a nicely maintained campground, predominantly for RV camping. I am a tent camper, so the camp sites are much larger than needed. I wanted to camp in the remoter spots, but they are closed for some reason. They have well maintained pathways, if you like blacktop hiking. The geese were great. I though the Canadiens were having an amphibious landing the second morning there, but it was just a company of Canadien geese! Assertive geese! I did not feed them, and they retreated after about 30 minutes. Good stay overall. I'll be back in the spring.

We have stayed at Hickory Creek several times. We had an excellent site. Our neighbors were not close. We would certainly stay there again.
