2nd time staying here. It’s a nice big campground and very quiet. Great for kids/families. It seems like they try to keep up with cleaning of the bathroom and shower facilities but just a bit more frequency would be great!

We love staying here at Hickory Creek while visiting family in the DFW area. Love the open sites, seeing wildlife & feeling like you’re in the countryside right in the middle of town.

Site 76 was decently level. Unfortunately a lot of very packed sites next to us. A lot of screaming kids and vehicles everywhere. Showerhouses - couldn’t find any that had hot water. But it was close to where we needed to be. Found it annoying that they close the gate at 10pm and you cannot get in AT ALL. We had to modify our plans in the area. Never heard of that before. Lots of beautiful scenery and wildlife there.

Beautiful park, spacious sites.
Shower houses not in the best of shape.
Missing handles on showers or missing doors. Some restroom stalls not functioning.

Excellent location with easy access to Dallas, Fort Worth, and Denton. Well maintained, friendly and helpful staff, level sites. Bathrooms are typical older but clean. Good separation/green space between sites. We drive down from OK several times a year and hang out for a few days. Go. To IKEA and museums.
