The sites and park are always clean, the staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The large (city provided) track pickups are frequent to avoid over flow and smells. Very accommodating and patient people in the front gate office. The park host's also do a very efficient job of managing peoples guest parking, etc. We've been to this park about 5 times this year 2024. We highly recommend this as an RV spot to relax and enjoy the amazing views. Shout out to Debbie in the gate house - she's amazing!

The setting is beautiful. Good trails, space between sites, friendly gate people, quiet. Our only complaint is the bathrooms are not heated and don't have hand soap or paper towels.
Great to see all the deer and ducks/geese

We were able to get a america the beautiful
Pass here as its an Army Core-of engineers park. Staff was friendly and helpfull when we needed more time after the gate closed.
Our sight was at the nee of the lake by a small hill. Quiet with plenty of space for our dogs to play a bit. Saw Blue Herons, cranes , and small birds of all kinds . Would stay again. Prices are also very good. Bathrooms are nice and clean.

The campsites at Hickory Creek are always clean and many have been nicely updated with new firepits and grills. It is always very peaceful and this is surprising for a location so close to DFW and the airport. Coming up from Coppell this is very convenient. My favorite in the area!

We frequent this park often. This time we were there for the Thanksgiving holiday and we had a wonderful time. Everything was as expected at the park. We arrived and checked into site #97. The woman at the gate was friendly and quickly had us off to our campsite. We spent the weekend enjoying friends, family, campfires, games and watching the deer that would come through every evening. One evening we saw 18 deer! The kids really enjoyed that. Thank you Hickory Creek for a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend.
