What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

Big army core of engineers with many small campgrounds around the lake. Enjoyed our site 67 some others closer to lake. Bathroom flush but basic. Close to state park but cheaper. Nice camp host.

Wonderful weekend. The other campers actually acted responsibly with their pets.
May I suggest putting seats on all the toilets?
Now if we could just stop using leaf blowers...

The park was very clean and in good condition. We camped with two other couples, and the only issue we experienced was that our friends in site 61 discovered that there was a problem with the 50 amp service on their pedestal. It appeared that one of the 'legs' of the 50 amp outlet was dead. A camp host was notified and a maintenance employee responded within a half hour or so, but when he was through, it appeared that the only change was that the 'dead leg' had switched sides. Future campers visiting site 61 should be aware that there is a problem with the 50 amp service on that pedestal.

I’ve always enjoyed the Corp of Engineer parks . Just a thought though . Would be nice if they started manning the gate again though . Lots of riff raff in and out with gates wide open .
