What Guests Are Saying
Sandy Creek Park is praised for its peaceful atmosphere, cleanliness, and well-maintained grounds, making it a favorite among campers. Guests appreciate the spacious, level sites, helpful staff, and beautiful views of the lake. However, there are concerns about the outdated restrooms and difficulties with the dump station, which could use some improvement.

The park is on a small peninsula so every campsite can see the lake. You can catch both sunrise and sunset over the water, which is glorious! The grounds are well maintained and the staff is friendly and helpful. The picnic tables had a metal awning overhead which was nice protection from rain or hot sun. Negative. There was a wasp nest beginning in the electrical box at both my site and the site next to me.
The bath house was clean. That’s the only good thing I have to say about it. There was no soap. There was no trash recepticle of any kind. The water faucet in both the sink and shower had no choice of temperature, water pressure, or duration of flow. The faucet style was push and let go. The water came out for X seconds. If you wanted more you had to push again. —Even in the shower.

We love sandy creek park but the knats were terrible while we were there. Nothing to do with the park though. We always have a great time when we go.

We had a wonderful stay at Sandy Creek in our RV campsite (#60). The grounds and facilities (roads, camp pads, and restrooms/bathhouses) were in great shape. The dump station was clean and easy to use (it also looks like they are constructing a new dump station). The park host was super friendly (thanks, Elvin, for leading us to our spot after dark)! As is normal in nature, sometimes you must share the space with critters and insects. For some reason, we experienced gnats. Everybody we talked to was surprised; many had stayed there before, and gnats were not an issue. (This was our first visit to Sandy Creek.) We also had ants at our campsite. Luckily, we had some ant granules to put down. No issues with mosquitos, either. We had no problems with the internet using hotspots from our mobile phones. I use T-Mobile and had 2 bars.

The park was very nice. Spots were very spacious and well maintained. The bathhouses could use a little work. They are a little behind in the times and the facilities were not kept very clean. Not a pleasant place to shower. The gate was open 24/7 and there didn’t seem to be much security.

This is a beautiful park overlooking a lake. Our site was less than 100 feet from the water where people were fishing off the bank. The sites are spaced nicely apart and have water and 30/50 electricity. We had difficulty leveling in site 30 but most sites are pretty level. All of the sites in our section were back in and facing the water with a terrific view.
