What Guests Are Saying
Twin Dikes campground is generally well-maintained, clean, and offers a peaceful atmosphere with beautiful lake views and friendly staff. Many visitors appreciate the helpful camp hosts and the serene environment, which is great for birdwatching and family relaxation. Some concerns include the need for maintenance on older sites and occasional issues with neighboring campers, but overall, guests enjoy their experiences and plan to return.

To begin the host couple and crew were great. The grounds where clean. This camp ground was built to accommodate fishermen and not families as there is no playground for the young that I could find. That being said, site 30 that I was on (and other sites I looked at while there) need attention. When I got out of my truck I’m standing on 6” of pavement with a 3’ sharp drop in grade do to the uneven grade of slop. This could be dangerous for elderly. At my fire ring the brush and woods have grown within 5 feet of the ring and that side the ground is uneven not allowing us to sit safely on that side. The fish cleaning table also is to close to the ring taking away a sitting area of the ring. Trees allowed to grow up around picnic table have produced ground level roots that are trip hazards for young and elderly. Back in the early days of Twin Dikes it may have been considered top choice, but my family will be returning to Mill Creek park on the same lake for the future as it is a better park in design and larger sites with a playground and the views are in my opinion better specially at sunset.

We were in site #4. Great view of the lake. The sites are a little close for our taste but being there during the week helped immensely. Being able to watch Bald Eagles fly and fish was a great surprise and pure excitement. We would come back without a doubt.

Beautiful area. Originally chose a site at Mill Creek but due to maintenance they were going to be closed when we came. Twin Dikes ended up being closer for us and a nice site. The Camp Host was very welcoming too

We really like this park and Sam Rayburn Lake is pretty. Pretty good dark sky for looking at the stars and watching satellites fly across the night sky. Even saw a few meteors. Pads are in good shape and not too jammed up. There is a good restroom/bathhouse that was convenient to our spot. The only thing you may want to consider is that there can be a lot of boat motor/jet ski noise that carries across the lake especially when it is crowded. Overall a great place to spend a few days or more. We will be back.
