What Guests Are Saying
Alley Creek Camp is praised for its beautiful scenery, friendly staff, and well-maintained campsites, making it a popular choice for visitors. Many enjoyed activities such as kayaking and fishing, and noted the peaceful environment. However, there are concerns about an overwhelming ant problem, maintenance issues like overgrown grass, and occasional restroom cleanliness that need addressing for an improved experience.

Campsites are nice... we love the concrete pads at rv1 sites on Alley Creek. The only drawn back is the grass was knee high around the sites won’t keep us from coming back but I will bring a weed eater to knock down a lil. The camp is very peaceful and the elderly couple that runs the gate are wonderful. We have been here the last two weekends and skipping over to Buckhorn for our next trip.

We very much enjoyed out time by the water, views are great and the people working at the entrance very
helpful and knowledgeable. We will return again at some time.

Nice camp sites: acceptable bathrooms, picnic tables, and fire pit with grill top. Our neighbors were very nice and respectful. Beautiful views of the lake. Glad we stayed here instead of the RV camp sites: too many Confederate flags over there... and during Juneteenth of all times.

Electrical is apparently fixed to handle 50 amp service now. Last year it kept throwing breaker. They had a big storm before we got there. Lots of trees down. Still had a great time with my grandsons and friends and family. Thanks to park hosts helping with anything we needed. Even inviting us to bring the boys to deer feeding time. Great time.

The park was loud and extremely busy. Constant cars, boats and loud rude people. People parked 3 trucks and a boat on our site. Never even asked if it was okay. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach pet a sign. However, many people had dogs loose on the beach and in the water. That ended running us out of the beach area. What bothered me most was the lack of people to enforce rules. We saw on park ranger and he never stopped and corrected any of the park violations. We had a lousy weekend at this park and will never go back. If you’re looking for quiet, polite campers, this is not the place.

Hosts were courteous and kind. The facilities were clean and well kept. The campsite had a beautiful view. Had no problem with our children and grandchildren visiting on the weekend. I would like for no one else to camp here, so we could come any time we want. That would not be fair, so I can only recommend this campground whole-heartedly. Great experience.
