We went early June. The park is beautiful, the park is well maintained (except for the restrooms, could us a little maintenance, but was clean) No trails but plenty of streets to walk.

The park is not well maintained, the grass and weeds are high. I’ve seen someone mowing one time in the four times we’ve camped there. (Mar, Apr, May, and June)

Spacious sites, some shade, quiet, peaceful, clean. All sites needed mowed due to tall bahia grass (we were there 5 nights in June).

The restrooms near our campsite were closed down all weekend, so we had to drive down to other end to be able to shower or use restroom. Besides that it was an ok stay and fish were biting.

It was ok, but the bathrooms air conditioning NEEDS to be fixed. Can't take a shower and sweat soooo fast because it is so hot in there. Also, just to use the bathroom toilet, it is too hot. All that heat makes it smell BAD.

The park location was good. Had a good view of the Lake and access to it from our site. But I had to weedeat around the water hookup and a walk way for the kids to walk to our/their friend’s sites. Also only one bathroom station worked with was quit a ways away from our site, and this was Memorial weekend. Also the kids playground had a slide and swing…that’s it. All in all a good time there with friends.

WE HAD A GREAT WEEKEND. WAS SO GLAD THE AREA HAD BEEN SEMI-MOWED. HOWEVER, THE FIREPIT WAS FULL OF PARTIALLY BURNED CANS, WOOD AND PAPER. WE'VE CAMPED AT BUCKHORN FOR 30+ YEARS AND WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK. HOW A BOUT A 2ND DUMP STATION! LOL
