First spot in the loop so close to the road. Nice view of lake and campground looking towards tent/ rv sites. Lots of deer seen while on hike of campground. First visit to "close to home" campground and loved it.

Only gave a ‘very good’ review because the dump station was out of service for a week while we were camping. This should have been a high priority repair imo, but was still out of service when we left. Otherwise, Johnson Creek park was great.

My favorite campsite. Unfortunately, mother nature was at work and the wind really did a number on my canopy but I still had a great time. The fall is great because you can feel the crispness of the air and campfire is the best. This lake is so beautiful even in a storm.

Lake was great. Staff sucked from camp host to head ranger. We left half way try our 2 week reservation it was that bad.

It isa beautiful drive from DALLAS, TX to JOHNSON CREEK CAMPGROUND just outside of Jefferson, Tx. The entrance to the campground is well marked. The staff were/are friendly and professional. All campsites are clean and clear of unsightly rubbish and weeds. Area grasses are cut not leaving large clumps around. Bathrooms are clean and sufficiently stocked. Just an All Around great time.
