The sewer connection was UPHILL from our motor home connection. We had to go outside and pick up hose regularly for sewer to flow in to disposal. After 2 days in the rain, we asked to move to another sight. The park manager would not change us on computer. I called myself and was told all he had to do was modify our reservations. As far as I know that was never done.

Greeted by a nice lady at the gate confirmed our reservations gave us a map and told us how to get to our site. Even though it rained most of the time we were there, It was a nice place with a beautiful view over the lake.

This is a great campground. It is right across from the bathrooms and has a beautiful view of the lake. It is very shaded. The view at sunrise is quite nice as well. The layout of the camp area space was more than enough and easy to stake tent down. Metal picnic tables made it easy to use the blackstone and serve food.

Pretty park with good tent sites with water access. Bathroom in “T” area need repairs. Toilets leaking at bases and shower out of order. Staff was friendly and helpful but never saw a park ranger. Park seemed under staffed.

Johnson Creek has the potential to be beyond excellent. The setting is beautiful, the lake is awesome and the general appearance of the campground is excellent. The downside is where trees were left and and the need for trimming. The crew responsible for grounds maintenance needs to have someone that towers a larger trailer go through and show them what to trim. Baffling that there are trees at the front corners of the sites that are overgrown and a tree in a sharp narrow curve int he campground that is approximately one foot off the asphalt and it too is overgrowing the traveled road.

Tent camping sites are great! Tent pads were level and water plus electricity were trouble free. Showers and bathrooms were clean and close. The scenery of the lake and hills were beautiful. Staff is very courteous and helpful! The only issue we had was parking our motorcycles. The campsite was on a hill with no level surface and no asphalt pad for parking. So parking the bikes was quite a challenge on inclined dirt as there is no room on the road next to the campsite. It was pretty tentative parking but all in all, we enjoyed our campsite.

The camp sites are very well kept and placed perfectly to enjoy the beauty of the lake. However a few things to note…
1). Power supply is approximately 40’ from tent pad. Would have been good info in description of site.
2). Both showers at site were out of order. 3). All three toilets leaked at base when flushed.
4). Porta Johns should have been brought in when power was lost for most all of Saturday. Bathrooms quickly became too disgusting to use.
5). Very late (midnight) arriving guests were not kept at an acceptable volume nor were they considerate with vehicle or halogen work lights. They were noticeably under the influence of excessive amounts of alcohol. Suggest no later arrival of 9:00 for campers; tent and RV.
6). Experienced at least 3 dogs not leashed. Owners had no control over pets’ behavior or barking. Encountered one pittie. Suggest more frequent camp host or park ranger presence.
