We love Johnson and will continue to stay there. Our only disappointment was finding that the dump station was down when we were leaving. That was not a happy finding. Hopefully it will be resolved before our next visit.

Excellent campground, hosts are helpful and cordial. Restrooms are clean and dumpsters empty, The dump station is easily accessible. Lots of deer roaming campground and birds galore.
The beauty of Johnson creek is amazing trees are everywhere along with a beautiful shoreline. There are two boat launches to choose from one in campground and other in day use. along with two swim areas ( no lifeguard) this place is kid friendly
There is a bait shop just outside of campground along with a cafe😒 and another just east of here The Pines Cafe which I highly recommend👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Jefferson is down the road which is a quaint historic little southern town with all sorts of things to do there
Check out this area for your next camping adventure

Very low water pressure and a whole section in the 200’s blew a breaker and lost electricity and now that the park is worked by all volunteers, there is no one around to ask for help. No one worked the front guard shack almost the entire 5 days we were there. Something has changed. It used to be our favorite.

We ❤️ had a great time and will return soon for fall camping as well… Everything was so nice the only thing was it wasn’t mowed and we had to walk through tall grass to get from our spot to the swimming area.
