We were having a great time, as we always do, at Johnson Creek, until we realized there were a lot of dead trees. We had an RV and a tent on our site. A limb fell from one of the dead trees and put a hole in the tent. Thankfully, it was during the day and no one was inside the tent. We only stayed one night rather than the 3 we had booked because we were concerned about a dead tree or limbs falling and damaging our RV or ruining the tent completely. We love Johnson Creek and it is our hope that they will take care of the dead trees that are a danger.

Our favorite lake spot. Very relaxing. Scenery is excellent. We like to sit out and visit with campers and look out at the lake and see the boats going in and out and engage in activities with those whom we camp with.

Everyone was friendly. Love the park. Only negative for me, only one of the four restroom/showers was clean enough I would use. One of those four was completely closed and was last year when I was camping there.

We stayed at Johnson Creek in site E407 for 12 days and loved 8 of them. We were right by water's edge and had lots of grassy area around our site. The weekdays were quiet and lovely, the weekends not so much. We were near the boat ramp and on one Saturday morning, 15 boats launched one right after the other starting at 5:30 a.m. Some of them motored slowly until they got away from the campground, but most of them went out full throttle. Barking dogs were another issue. I can't blame the dogs, but I'd be happy to blame the owners. Why tie your dog(s) to a tree and allow them to bark incessantly? The only other issue we had was the condition of the bathroom in our loop. One of the toilets was broken in the ladies room and was full of, uh, something. It remained that way for the whole time we were there. It did not appear that much time or care was given to cleaning them. Other than that, it's a great campground with many rv sites, nice tent sites, playground, swimming beaches and fishing pier.

The park itself is gorgeous. Quiet and well kept. The only issue we had was the bathrooms in area 1 were not well kept and there was no hot water for the showers. Made for some very chilly mornings.

We had a nice time in the park, but 2 issues concerned us.
One was the speeding of vehicles on the park roads. Many vehicles would drive by our camp site at speeds well over the posted 10 MPH. I saw several vehicles that appeared to me to be driving over 35 MPH on the park roads.
The other was barking dogs.
I never saw a park ranger in the park for the 4 days we were there.
