Take me to the Trees Please? Davy Crockett National Forest is a place to return to, for sure. Ratcliff Lake was a nice, quiet place to camp.

I absolutely love this place! Ratcliff Lake is less than an hour from my home in Lufkin and it's always a nice getaway for a few days. The restrooms are clean and showers hot.

The campsites were far apart and we had plenty of space away from other campers. Very wooded and beautiful! We came to hike, and the trail was very well marked and covered in soft pine needles. We had to put the three trails together to make one almost 3 mile trail, but it was beautiful. Bathrooms were very nice, everything very well kept.
