Ratcliff Lake Recreation Area is praised for its beautiful location, clean amenities, and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great choice for camping and outdoor activities. Many visitors enjoyed the well-maintained sites, spaciousness, and nearby hiking trails, highlighting the campground's overall comfort and enjoyable experience. Great price, solid cell service 4G Verizon, bathrooms super clean, gate seems always open, first come first served with self pay, site 45 has great view, signal etc.
Several site managers spread through different sections. The ones on Loblolly were very friendly and inviting me to stay longer during chit chat about my plans.
There was some sort of road noise in the distance you could hear at night but it wasn’t bothersome to me, I was surprised cause it didn’t seem close to a road but maybe road noise travels a bit further than I thought. I didn’t dock any points for this but thought I would mention it for the most sensitive.

Beautiful tall pines everywhere. Nicely spaced lots feels very private.

My campsite was clean and nice. There was lots of noise from trucks on Hwy. 6. I was disappointed to find out about the fish consumption warning after I arrived as I intended to fish. The park is beautiful.

Beautiful campground and surrounding area. The sight was site but I wasn’t impressed by the electricity going out quite often. The water hookups were also a pain to use since they were so far from the site; placed between two sites.
