What Guests Are Saying
Plowman Creek is highly praised for its excellent condition, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly camp hosts. Campers appreciate the spacious, well-maintained sites with easy access to water and electricity, along with beautiful scenery and clean facilities. While some noted minor issues with restrooms and inconsiderate fellow campers, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

We had a great time with friends camping at Plowman. We caught catfish and had them for dinner. The weather was perfect and the park was too.

The camping trip was great!!! All the attendants were very nice. Fishing wasn't up to par. The water was low. The men shower hot water was like a volcano. Other than that, great camp site. Thank you very much.

Excellent stop-over as we drove across Texas. Looks like it is used mostly by locals and the lake side spots are spacious and nicely separated from each other. Mostly tall trees, so you have shade, but can see all the other campers too. Verizon cell service was great by the lake. Last minute reservations put us in the equine area away from the lake. Somewhat wooded, but very close to all the other campers. Luckily no one was right beside us on either side (they would have been so close that slide outs could have been a problem). You share a covered pavilion with your neighbor. No one was there that had horses, but a large extended family had reserved several sites for a weekend get together. Bathrooms were aged, but clean. Did not use them since we only stayed one night. No Verizon cell service in that equine area. Several over-the-air TV channels.
