What Guests Are Saying
Plowman Creek is highly praised for its excellent condition, peaceful atmosphere, and friendly camp hosts. Campers appreciate the spacious, well-maintained sites with easy access to water and electricity, along with beautiful scenery and clean facilities. While some noted minor issues with restrooms and inconsiderate fellow campers, the overall experience is positive, with many expressing a desire to return.

Definitely our favorite campground on the Brazos River. Always a great experience. Best part about it is the camping spots. Wide and spaced far apart with a great view of the river.
Total serenity!

What a nice place to stay. We stayed here for 10 days while in the area visiting family. Camp host was very friendly and she did several trips around the camp sites each day. We did lots of exploring in kayaks and on foot. We also stopped at the other ACOE camps around Lake Whitney.

Very nice camp by the water. Showers were clean and well maintained. We saw lots of deer. Trains going by all night blowing their horn was the worst part.

Plowman is a beautiful park with easy to maneuver sites, spaced well apart. Walk to the lake and enjoy.

We had made our reservations in the equestrian area unbeknownst to us y’all had gone in and added two tables to each space so it went from a five spots into 10 .
we were on top of each other it was very uncomfortable.
we had four trailers of alcoholics on one side of us with dogs that did not wear a leash .
On Saturday night they were using foul language and was very drunk and rowdy besides that their dogs like to come and poop all over our area and climb on our table.
This was the third time that we had made reservations in the equestrian area and brought two couples with us and their trailers .
We had told them what a wonderful experience we had had in the past.
I’m not sure when we will return to Pallman Creek Park but if we do we will sure let everyone know not to camp in the equestrian area because you have totally destroyed that.
