What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

Lavonia is VERY close to home for us, but still gives us the experience of camping and being away from home. We love the views from these campsites and you cannot go wrong with the sunset over Lake Lavon. One of our favorite things about this is the full service (water, electric, sewer) because our tanks fill rather quickly in our small tow-behind camper.
We try to make this a regular occurance every year.

Gate workers were very pleasant to work with. It would be nice if the park could update the electrical outlets. Our breaker flipped several times. We hardly had anything running on it.

Beautiful area, with nice breeze. There are chiggers in the grass, so take preventive measures.
There is a small wading area by the old boat ramp that children can use. Our site included a view of every train that went by.
