What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

Thoroughly enjoyed our time at the park camping. Seems that the park is run down, grills are mostly broken and rusted out. Peacefull and beautiful lake view.

One of my favorite close by places to camp. Has a great view of the lake and the sunsets are unbeatable. With the new bathrooms, the facilities are much better. The campsites themselves need an update, but for being in the metroplex, it’s a nice place.

Was a great place to camp, spaces aren’t too close. Is quiet, the lake is close, we enjoyed out time there.

Beautiful campground with great hosts! We thought we were getting a decent deal with water and electric with our access pass discount, only to find out, these sites are fhu. Host at the gate was super nice and informative. Our only regret is that we only stayed one night on our way out west. We can't wait to stay again. Every site has a nice view of the water. They are not huge sites but spaced apart pretty well. It's Texas, so not many trees for privacy. This is to be expected for the area.

We were in site 35. This paved site is very steep. Someone had already moved the back cement barricade, so we were able to back up past the site to become level. The area is pretty, but most of the sites are very steep and the pavement on the roads is in terrible shape. This campground needs a lot of TLC from the government.

This camp was great with one smal exception, the site was very slanted and we were concerned our RV would roll over our chalks. Even with the tongue touching the ground. But great views, very spacious sites, and nice friendly staff. I would stay here again.
