What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

Lavonia RV park is the worst COE park we have stayed at. The roads are in horrible shape, picnic tables and grills are hit or miss, and many sites are seriously unlevel. Besides these problems, the ingress and egress ends at 10 PM. If you are not back by then, you must park on the outskirts and walk to your campsite. Also, beware of chiggers in the grass!
On a positive note, there are some beautiful views from the picnic areas, and the prices are not terrible.

Park was run down but it was fun being lakefront. I like that they had septic hook.

Although most sites slope toward the lake, most of them (with some blocks and other leveling gear) can be leveled.
The bathrooms are in a sad state of repair. They are clean, but need things like heaters in the winter and general updates.

This park is so neglected. I don't think an audit has been performed in years. There are too many sites without water, electricity, crumbling driveways, rusted non usable BBQ grills/firepits, crumbling roads, and the park has an overall decaying neglected appearance. What's really concerning us that there are too many obvious squatters and non employees staying at the sites without paying or unauthorized 🤔. No one there at the front gate to check-in campers. Sad... this park could be so much better. Management obviously 🙄 has other things to do. Please audit this site! Do a complete thorough evaluation of this park to see if it meets the same standards as the other parks and the Army Corps of Engineer policy rules and guidelines for park maintenence, safety, and overall quality appearance.

The park was mowed and clean of debris. Park hosts and guests were friendly. One of our favorite destinations at Lake Lavon.

Beautiful location. Friendly park host. 80% of lots are (and have been for more than 1 year) unrentable because the COE has not bothered to repair some of the electrics.

Safe, clean, convenient campground to Dallas. Amazing sunsets over Lake Lavon with a great view from sites on the hill. Good mix of RV/Electric and tent sites. Bathrooms have showers and are clean and comfortable.

The sites are far enough apart. We were the only ones down by the lake. The sunset was perfect.
