What Guests Are Saying
Lavonia is praised for its beautiful lake views and peaceful atmosphere, making it a great spot for campers. Many reviews highlight the friendly park hosts and the spaciousness of the sites, which provide a sense of privacy. However, maintenance issues such as overgrown grass, pothole-ridden roads, and inadequate restroom facilities detract from the overall experience, indicating a need for better management and upkeep.

This site is ridiculously unlevel. We could not get our travel trailer to be level. It would've taken a getting the jack (already perched on blocks) dangerously high. We lived with it for the two nights. Water was fine, electric was fine, sewage was fine. We used the fire pit and the picnic table. Location was good, short walk to lake. Lots of room around us, son came and pitched his tent behind us. No one behind us, just a big unlevel field. Lavonia is the worst park for leveling. Or second time here because it was only site with spots available. The good spots are taken by long term campers. Except for the leveling it would be a 4-5 start site.

Wonderful family time! Clean restrooms, polite neighbors, and sweet Mrs. Hamilton was so kind! We'll be back!

Great stay! Loved the view and everyone was friendly. Dog feces from previous campers were the only downsides to staying here. Was able to stream online to teach with no issues.

We thought the park attendants were so kind and helpful. The two lots we stayed at during our stay were both beautiful and all hookups worked great! There was some dog feces on our lot from the previous campers which wasn't fun but other than maybe checking the lots between campers or enforcing dog rules it was a great place to stay!

While this could be a very nice park, the sites are unlevel and in a state of disrepair. We have a senior pass which makes the camping $15.00 per night, I would never consider paying full price ($30.00) per night for this place since it doesn't appear that anything has been repaired in years.

Staff here is SUPER nice and friendly. Campground has added sewer connections which is great. Some of the sites are a bit hard to get into or get completely level but there is a new bath house and the view of the lake is fantastic, especially from Site 3 which is right on the top of the hill!

I live only 15 minutes from this park, yet without a trailer I have not camped here in over 30 years. Having taken delivery of my new travel trailer, I was pleasantly surprised at the facilities in the hookups were great! Didn't mind the half-price off because of my national parks card either.
