What Guests Are Saying
Sanders Cove is a beautiful and clean campground with spacious sites, lovely views, and friendly hosts, making it a favorite for many campers. While the campground offers a peaceful atmosphere and good amenities, some facilities, particularly the bathrooms and showers, require significant updates and maintenance. The roads leading to the park are in poor condition, but the overall experience is enjoyable, with plenty of outdoor activities available nearby.

We love staying here and the park host we’re all very friendly. The park is always clean and easy to get in and out of our spot. My husband enjoyed fishing and biking while I was at painting class.

We took a chance and drove 14 miles off our route to stay here. We are so glad we did! It was beautiful and so relaxing! We had a water view site, close to the swimming beach. The neighbors were all friendly and helpful! We sat outside and enjoyed all the birds. In the morning, we saw a few deer on the beach, before sunrise. It was a relaxing evening. Our only regret, was we only booked one night!

Nice place but no protocol for late arrival. People at gate were not helpful when I call to say that I had a road issue and will be arriving 30 minutes after they close the gate. Not willing to wait or help in any way.

We stayed Monday and Tuesday nights. It was very relaxing, it wasn’t crowded and the host were awesome and helpful. We will return there. Loved our camp spot. My husband wasn’t thrilled over the showers, they could use some updating but was nice to have. Hopefully they will improve showers and add more showers.
Thank you for providing a very clean camping areas.

Great location near the lake. Our site was level enough we didn't need to use blocks to level. Would have been better if there was a shower/bathroom closer. The toilet isn't flush but a one-seater latrine. Beach area is nice and located in the B-loop. Boat launch near and busy. Park staff make frequent rounds. Front gate closes at 10p.m. and there is no reentry till the next morning. Park is close to Paris, TX where they have the Eiffel Tower replica with red hat located at the Love Civic Center and there is the Red River Valley Veteran Memorial in the same area and worthy of a visit. We would stay again.

This is a nice shade campground in a least in the B-section! There was a swimming area but barely no sand edge and exposed tree roots that were easy to trip on, and no bathroom close by. A few things I found were a disadvantage was no dumpsters for campers trash in the camping area (saw a few small trash cans in the swimming area only). No flush toilets or shower in the B campground area. Sites close and randomly placed, with some hard top pads, some gravel and some dirt with grass. Enforcement of no alcohol consumption was nonexistent! Most all the other campers and in swimming area were openly drinking the 4 full day we were there.
