What Guests Are Saying
Sanders Cove is a beautiful and quiet campground with large, clean campsites and friendly staff, making it a great choice for relaxation and family gatherings. Many visitors appreciated the scenic views, well-marked trails, and the overall cleanliness of the park. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms and showers, require significant maintenance and updates to enhance the camping experience.

The camp hosts are professional, friendly and helpful, and the park is very well kept. Given the proximity to the lake shoreline, as well as to the nearby mountain bike trails, there's always plenty of outside fun to be had at Sander's Cove.

Lovely park, very clean, staff very responsive. The power went out during our stay and they communicated well and resolved it quickly. The only negative is the sites are very close together.

Gate attendant was short and offered no assistance getting to reserved site. Had to go back to gate and ask for a map. Restrooms were not cleaned. They hardly restocked tissue and swept the floor. 1 men’s (with one toilet) and 1 women’s for 40+ Sites. Bathhouse with showers was nasty. Dogs running around and not cleaned up after. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

Disappointed in reservation system. We had a confirmed reservation for one night while traveling through the area. Upon arrival told that previous occupant had not left yet. While waiting we were told the previous occupant was able to extend their stay therefore cancelling our reservation for that site. Please know that the camp hosts were apologetic and very helpful in locating another site for us. It only seems appropriate that a site paid for in advance should be available without threat of being turned away.

Good location. Good walking trails. Would be nice if each camp sight had its own water supply. Bring plenty of water hose.

Sanders Cove is a clean and well maintained Corps of Engr. park.
We were in a water and electric camper site in Loop A. Some of the sites might be a bit short for long RVs but they were fine for our 24 foot pull trailer and pickup. We had a nice view of the lake, with pretty sunsets.
The park is only 12 miles North from Paris, TX. We visited downtown Paris on Saturday. I am a Ham Radio operator, and the Main Trading Company store has a great inventory. Other fun places to visit are Swaim's Hardware and 107 Restaurant.
