What Guests Are Saying
Sanders Cove is a beautiful and quiet campground with large, clean campsites and friendly staff, making it a great choice for relaxation and family gatherings. Many visitors appreciated the scenic views, well-marked trails, and the overall cleanliness of the park. However, the facilities, particularly the restrooms and showers, require significant maintenance and updates to enhance the camping experience.

This was our first stay anywhere in our RV. The rangers were very helpful and made sure we had a great site that was easy to park at. The camp area is not huge but was had all that we needed.

We were very pleased with the set up of this park. Of course we all base our reviews from what we know and from what we have experienced, it was a very nice park. The one this that needed attention was the bathhouse. It needed some cleaning and probably some additional lighting. It seemed so dark which no one likes when they are using the bathhouse.

Had an issue with electric and water hose too short, gate attendant was life saver. Took care of us and was very friendly.

I've only been at Sander's Cove in the winter but it is very nice there! Love walking down to the beach and viewing the water.

We were the only campers in the park except for the camp hosts. We stayed here during the major freeze and snowstorm of 2021. The park shut off the water to all sites ( they informed us that the water had been shut off) during freeze to protect the water lines from freezing. After the coldest nights had passed they turned the water back on. The camp hosts were super and checked on us several times during the storm to make sure we were doing ok. Would definitely stay here again!!

Our first time to camp in B loop. We loved the level, paved site. We had a nice view of the lake, and excellent satellite service. Phone service (Sprint) wasn't great. Our biggest disappointment was not in the campground, but other campers. There were SO many dogs running around loose. No one seemed to adhere to the leash ordinance (except us!), so you had to be very careful where you stepped when out walking.
On the weekend, fellow campers had about a dozen kids, and 3 or 4 dogs. We're okay with kids, but so many kept running through our campground, and they were all zooming up and down the road on a motorcycle (teens hauling tots). Again, this isn't a campground issue. I guess it's the downside of camping in off-season when there aren't camp hosts on duty to keep an eye on things.
Site #18 looks to be a perfect spot for backing in a long trailer, by the way.

Great view to the woods and lake plenty of distance between you and your friends. Few deer show up feeding in the morning this park is very comfortable to enjoy a camping trip. Camp fire and coffee is my choice of relax

Park was very beautiful and the location was great. We would definitely recommend and stay here again. Unfortunately, we were parked next to a trailer with two Dobermans who were aggressive and barked a lot. As the campground was not full, we should have returned to registration and requested a different spot. Everything was great!
