I stayed one night on my way to South Texas. What a nice park! My spot was right on the lake and just a gorgeous view - I hated to leave. Lot was level. Grounds looked well maintained. Shower house was not maintained and looked like it hadn't been for a while, not sure what was going on there. I hooked up to water and sewer to use my own facilities, which I wouldn't have done for just one night otherwise. That was the only negative I saw there. I would certainly go back, and plan to stay a few days. I pulled in at dark so went on down and backed in an empty spot while I could still see. Host stopped by to check on me and let me know the spot was reserved for the next night but I was ok for the one night. I registered and paid online and he brought me down something to put on the windshield. He was real nice.

Always love camping here, the area is beautiful. However the campground is showing signs of age since our last visit on 2009.The roads needs repaving, the grills at campsites are falling apart. The lake is beautiful ,sunrises and sunsets are breathtaking.

Very spacious sites! Beautiful scenery and amenities were convenient from restrooms to the dumpsters. Each site has a covered picnic area with a grill and fire pit. The couple whom ran the place were so pleasant and were happy to answer the questions to your every need. Love the place so much we booked another day then another after our initial checkout on Monday to checking out Thursday. Great place to visit and stay a couple days or so…. Full hook ups what more can you ask for!

The wife and I did a tent outing and had the greatest time. Nothing like having bacon, eggs, toast, and hot coffee in the morning while experiencing such a wonderful wakeup view of the sun rising up over the lake. Very relaxing place to get away from the hustle and bustle for a while.

Great park with excellent host to provide any assistance needed. Sites easily accessible . Would suggest some road maintenance be performed. Will definitely recommend this park to our friends. Tkd

A previous review mentioned many issues they had with Clear Lake... I suspect most of the problems were due to timing (their trip was in the middle of the 2020 shutdown and lack of maintenance). We loved our stay. The camp hosts were very friendly and helpful, facilities were fine, if worn (due, I'm sure to budget issues). We would definitely stay here again.

Great site on the lake with full hookups, very quiet. Mornings were interrupted with the distant sounds of lions roaring.
Would return and stay longer next time to take full advantage of the lake.
