What Guests Are Saying
Union Grove is a beautifully maintained campground with spacious, clean sites and stunning views of the lake. Visitors appreciate the attentive and friendly staff, as well as the clean restroom facilities. While some sites may be unlevel and there were minor cleanliness issues, overall experiences are positive, and many plan to return.

Having been there during the recent extreme cold/snow/ice event, I can't say enough about the hosts/volunteers. There were a number of camping units that they checked on at least once a day. One host, Joe gave us a case of drinking water because the roads were too icy for a trip to town. Great people.

Site was filthy but it was the only one that was filthy.

This is our second trip here and loved it...so much that we booked yet our third time to group camp with friends. Our site could have been pre-cleaned a lot better...maybe they missed ours...other than that, no issues.

Unfortunately, I did not get to go to Union Grove due to the winter storm. I tried to cancel my reservation several days in advance, but the system had an error. They are still working on getting my refund settled. I guess the fact that the system wouldn't let me cancel explains why I am being asked to evaluate my trip.

Would have rated excellent, friendly hosts, nice spots in hat are not stacked on top of each other (like Corpus Christi Lake state park) except the dumping station was out of order ... and that is kind of important.

Arrived right before the winter blast of 2021. Fared better than many people with homes in Texas, and feel blessed to have found a haven. Even the intermittent power outages were not that bad. Did have a problem, when we pulled up to dump our tanks, and the pipe was full of water - possibly frozen. I expect that will not be a problem in a couple more days. Nice area, but very windy. Smith & Smith for propane!! Those guys stayed open late to help out their neighbors and customers.

The Staff is fabulous . the area is grate, clean and peaceful. Lots of cute deer and rabbit as well as many different birds. Eagles hawks falcons and I think I saw a turky vulture. I am a rookie fisher didn't catch any but it was nice. I have lots of good pictures from my stay.
