Not much to do not much to say!
We would like to get a ride on a mule with a guide, but nothing is possible.
Too far for new visitor with a very bad road

I had a wonderful time staying in this little canyon. The park hosts were specially nice to my special needs little boy even took us on a trail. The stargazing is absolutely amazing! Very secluded. Plenty of birds and deer all around.

Dog Canyon was a treat! The ranger in the station and the host (Jeff) were both amazing. The stargazing that night was explosive and vivid. The campground and facilities were great. It was a cold night, so those heated bathrooms were welcomed. We loved hearing about the Dog Fire last fall and learning more about the mountain lions in the area. I 100% recommend the staff and sites here.

Excellent campground and great experience. Jeffrey the camp host was fantastic, and the Ranger too. Only complaint...it's such a shame that well-behaved dogs aren't allowed on trails.

I'm a GS13 Forest Service employee. Seven (yes that's his name) who is stationed at Dog Canyon is outstanding! Very personable and was great to sit and talk to after 3 days on the trail in the backcountry. Great asset!
