Small RV campsite loop was nice along the lake. Lots of trees. Could access lake fairly easy. Did not catch any fish though. I liked that it is very close to Temple/Belton for stores and close to family. It's a quiet location, except for hearing some bombs occasionally from Fort Hood. Obviously not a place to go during season of Cedar allergy. Also be aware that this lake has had problems with blue-green algae that can be harmful to your dogs.

The sites are packed in way too close. I picked the worst site to get a bumper pull backed into. Not well designed for at least that site. The campground overall was very clean and liked the picnic table design for each site. Will stay again but have to get a better site

We could not get into original campsite and had to transfer due to low hanging limbs. Then the new site had low limbs also and someone had to get on top of Rv and hold up as we backed. ALSO there is a power line on the main road close to dump station that is very low and drags over everyone’s Rv.

Really enjoyed the location of our site and the view of the lake. Everyone was nice and friendly. We did have a Karen beside us but hey there's one of those every where. We are already booked to go back and stay in the site across from where we last stayed. Plenty of space between all camp sites. Great Place.

The facilities were very well maintained. And it was a very nice, quiet stay. The only thing that could have made it better is if the space between camp spots was doubled.

Our site was #66 and there was an issue with the electric pole in which we could not run our heater without tripping the breaker. The breaker switch would not really trip, it would just stop working and we would have to turn it off and back on to get it to work. It was very cold that weekend and we had to run our generator to get heat. We reported it to the gate attendant and they sent out someone to take a look. He didn't replace the switch, just cleaned it. We continued to have the same issue. We reported it again to the attendant and they said they would get the switch replaced. Hopefully that happened because that was the day we were scheduled to leave. We have since stayed at several KOAs without having this issue, so it wasn't a problem with our RV. We ended up paying for electrical service and had to use our generator instead.
