Overall, we enjoyed our stay at campsite #31.
We were able to climb down the rocks to get down to the water behind site #32. There was a drop-off where the lake cut in between our site & site #30, which was not evident on the map & put a lot of distance between us & our friends who'd booked site #30.
The lake was pretty & the park had a surprisingly small amount of bugs other than lots of spiders around the picnic tables. I saw a rabbit & some cardinals. As others have said, the hiking trail was quite overgrown.
I was a bit disappointed in the lack of wildflowers in the park.
I was there to enjoy time with friends & this park met my expectations for that. If you're looking for beautiful scenery & hiking trails, I would suggest a different park.

Very relaxing. While I was campaigning grounds people were on top of cleaning sites after campers left site.

Site Spot was clean, raked and ready upon arrival.. Attendant at the check-in station was new but she provided me with a map of the site and helped with questions as it was my 1st visit to the place.

Overall, good experience. Enjoyed the campsite (electric and water). Good dump station at entrance of campground. Our campsite overlooked the lake. Steep drop-offs to get to the lake, but manageable, if taking your time. Nice campground to go for a walk. Most disappointing was the bathroom/shower facilities. The restrooms were not clean, showers had mold on the curtains, no soap or hand sanitizing.

This is a basic, quiet, no-nonsense kind of campground. Level and spacious, easy to get into with any size RV. Nice equestrian trails on the shores of Lake Waco if you have a horse. Boat launch ramps also available. No bathroom facilities in winter.

If you want peace and quiet, this is the place for that. During our stay there the was no one else there. Not sure how often this place is like this but it was nice.

The regular campground is closed after October 1. We stayed at equestrian camp. This is just a large lot of gravel, but is fine otherwise. Surrounded by pasture and woods and near the lake and boat ramp. Most people there when we stayed were fishing or just camping. Some equestrian riders came, but mostly for day use only.
