What Guests Are Saying
Speegleville Park is a peaceful campground with spacious, well-maintained sites and beautiful views of the lake, making it a great spot for relaxation and wildlife observation, particularly deer. Guests appreciate the friendly staff and the park's proximity to Waco, as well as the cleanliness of the area. However, there are notable maintenance concerns, particularly regarding restroom facilities, grass upkeep, and road conditions, which detract from the overall experience.

The first night we didn’t even have electricity! We went to the lady at the window twice and she assured us that the park ranger was coming. The park ranger never came. It was absolutely miserable because we have no air-conditioning!

Very large sites. The person who grooms the site does a great job cleaning the sites and raking the gravel.

The bathhouse needs a complete overhaul! I was so disappointed in the cleanliness as well. They could put in some trees as the sweltering sun just beats down on you so hard here. And if you don't make it back in time after closing you may have to park your car/trick and walk in. That's what the sign says!

What a great park! They have a wonderful & friendly staff that keeps the park super clean & tidy. We went swimming & kayaking at the park. We also used it's easy access to Waco to explore the Texas Ranger Museum and the Dr. Pepper Museum. We look forward to going back again.

Super views of the lake. We were self-contained 42’ class-A and navigated the paved roads OK. Limited spots for large
rigs, but again, great water and Mountain View’s available!
