What Guests Are Saying
Speegleville Park offers a clean, peaceful environment with spacious campsites and abundant wildlife, making it an enjoyable destination for families and nature lovers. The staff is friendly, amenities are functional, and many guests appreciate the beautiful views and fishing opportunities. However, some areas require maintenance, particularly the roads, signage, and dump station, which have been noted as problematic.

We were in spot #30 the week after labor day 2021. We saw lots of deer and the weather was great. My compliments to the hosts as this was the cleanest we have seen an RV site ready for the next visitor. The area was raked, the fire pit and grill were clean, and area was mowed. Some state parks we have been too were not kept up as good. This site is close enough to Waco if you want to explore the town. RV sites are spread out enough where you are not on top of each other. We only hoped we could have been closer to the water but did not reserve early enough. Good lake for boating, kayaking, and fishing.

When we visited in May 2021 everything was in great shape. But by September ‘21 the grass was unknown and the restrooms and showers were filthy! It’s like they stopped caring. Maybe it’s a good place for early in the season. Otherwise, bring heavy duty cleaning supplies!

The dump station was flooded the day we left so we had to find a place to dump. Also the grass needed to be mowed. Campers brought mowers to do it themselves. Other than that our stay was good

This is our favorite RV park. Just wish they had full hook ups & awnings over 1-4 sites

This park is amazing! Although we love to socialize the sites are spaced well away from others! The area has deer and we can’t wait to get a kayak and come back.

Super views of the lake. We were self-contained 42’ class-A and navigated the paved roads OK. Limited spots for large
rigs, but again, great water and Mountain View’s available!
