Park camping area clean and well maintained my site somewhat unlevel but workable. Could not rate 5 star because of bathhouse/restrooms, no locks on doors??

The campsite and campground were very nice. But it was very difficult to sleep with extremely noisy people racing loud cars and playing loud music until 3 AM and then the music started up again at 5 AM the next morning. These people were across a small inlet of water near the campground. I am guessing those people were not on park property. Not sure if it is private property or Corps of Engineer property.

Gate house guy, Tom, super helpful. Site was great. Only reason for 4 stars was the restroom needs some repairs.

We’ll laid out park. Lots of space and easy to get in sites. Deer wandering in the park without concern of people or pets. Most sites have some view of the lake.

A nice quiet campground, right on the water and next to the marina. The bathrooms were very clean, and the showers had lots of hot water. The only improvement needed was the road was rough and full of potholes, so just be careful and slow driving in and out.

We were in spot #30 the week after labor day 2021. We saw lots of deer and the weather was great. My compliments to the hosts as this was the cleanest we have seen an RV site ready for the next visitor. The area was raked, the fire pit and grill were clean, and area was mowed. Some state parks we have been too were not kept up as good. This site is close enough to Waco if you want to explore the town. RV sites are spread out enough where you are not on top of each other. We only hoped we could have been closer to the water but did not reserve early enough. Good lake for boating, kayaking, and fishing.

When we visited in May 2021 everything was in great shape. But by September ‘21 the grass was unknown and the restrooms and showers were filthy! It’s like they stopped caring. Maybe it’s a good place for early in the season. Otherwise, bring heavy duty cleaning supplies!
