I originally was in a site 3 with 30 amp. It was beautiful, shaded and not too close to neighbors. The Verizon cell service there was spotty. I moved to a non electric tent site, 53, because it’s right on the water and no one else was there. The cell service was much better, 3 bars Verizon. I could access the internet. The grounds for hiking, biking, boating are fabulous. Nice playgrounds for kids. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I would definitely return.

We had an amazing time on the equestrian trails and campsites. Love that we can stall our horses at our campsite. Very relaxing. This was third weekend in h the last 5 weeks. Definitely be coming back often.

I stayed here for one night with my mini camper van and my dog. Beautiful setting right on the lake, campsites were spread out, there was nobody else in the tent camping loop when I stayed there. The bathrooms were FULL OF BUGS but harmless moth-type bugs, but the shower had really nice hot water, so I didn't mind too much about the bugs. You can back your vehicle right up to the campsite, and there was a water spigot right there by the picnic table. I would definitely stay here again. My dog had a great time walking along the beach - beware some dead fish!

McCown Valley never lets us down. My family and I have stayed at various sites throughout the park, and we are always happy with our spot as well as the various amenities in the park.
