What Guests Are Saying
East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Very clean the person at the gate was very friendly and helpful. Those things are important. There wasn’t a bunch of litter laying around! We enjoyed our stay.

Tree limbs are low and need to be cut up higher. Sites need more gravel-gets muddy with rain

Small campground but very nice. Gates close at 10pm but easy to park at the entrance for the night. Sites are paved with picnic table and fire pit. There are four Restrooms/showers which are private. The grounds were neatly kept and restrooms were clean. Friendly staff at the campground.

Great place to stay when visiting the Dallas area. Although you're pretty close to the city area, at the park still feels isolated and quiet. The roads in and out of the park are best taken slowly, but they aren't too bad and can be easily managed regardless the size of your setup. The individual sites are pretty good, most of them are fairly level although the pavement isn't in the best condition. We never use the local restrooms, so can't speak to their condition. Be sure to watch the time though when out doing fun things. They close the gate to the park at 10PM every night, so you'll have to park outside the gate and walk in after that. It's only been a consideration for us once, and not that big a deal, just something to remember. We'll stay here again, and it is our go to place when we visit family in that area.

The dump station outside the gate is an absolute pain and also means that you cannot dump when the gate is closed and get back into the campground. It needs to be moved inside the gate.

Park host was excellent. Road has been repaved.
Park has lots of ant beds and spiders around tables. RV pads are in need of repairs.
Site 48 has huge ruts in rv pad and drainage problems. It is a mud hole.
