What Guests Are Saying
East Fork offers a beautiful campground with large, spacious sites and stunning lake views, making it a relaxing destination for visitors. The staff is friendly and accommodating, contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. However, some sites require maintenance, including pad repairs and restroom cleanliness, and the lack of full hookups may be a drawback for longer stays. Overall, many guests appreciate the natural setting and plan to return despite minor issues.

Whole place is in need of maintenance, but it's OK for a stay.

Little shades, broken grill. It seemed several homeless living there. I felt insecure.

We stay at this park when visiting family around the metroplex. There is little to shade. You might get a firepit, or a grill. You might get both or none. If you get a firepit it won't be near the take or cover.

The campground itself was nice with well spaced sites and easy access. The camp hosts were very nice to work with. The grassy areas around the campsites could have been better groomed and an expanded area defined for parking would have been nice too.
There were 2 totally unacceptable things. First, on the evening we arrived, I went to the bathrooms with the full intention of taking a shower. There were 4 total bathroom areas of which 2 were labeled out of service, one that I couldn't get the door opened on and the 4th, the only one that I could open the door on, that I didn't even attempt to enter after peering inside. As I opened the door, the smell hit me head on and I could see feces in the floor so I left never to return.
Secondly, I don't have an issue with the park closing gates at 10pm but it is unacceptable to require park users wait until 10am to gain access to the park.

The park was clean & staff was nice…but a bit run down. The fire ring at our spot was so rusted through that fire spread to the surrounding area.
If your looking for a relaxing place to camp…this isn’t it! The town has grown so much that you can hear traffic all hours, and the sky just doesn’t get dark.
Despite these things, we still had a nice time, but won’t camp there again.

If you get a lake view site, you’re lucky. There are some with standing grills some not. The showers are hot and restrooms clean. One problem is they lock the gates coming in until 10 am. It’s close to certain areas if the metroplex.

Very nice stay. Been visiting this park for over 10 years because it is close to my daughter home. No other parks close and would normally never come back because of the terrible roads in the park. After ten years of complaints I guess the roads get repaired. Thank you!
